Capturing the Shadow

I really enjoyed this assignment. This is a self-portrait. We were to capture the shadows through a mirror with a light shinning on one side of our face, on a blacjk sheet of paper with a white colored pencil.

Everything has a place, so here I have designed a pencil box. While designing this pencil box I thought about all the things that come with the use of pencils, and designed a compartment to place pencil sharpeners and erasers.

This is another practice for drawing people from the side. I think that I have mastered it. Not exactly because the person I am drawing doesn't always come out looking like my drawing of them. But the drawing does look like a person.

In my interior Architecture class we have begun to start practicing drawing people,"the proper way." i have been drawing people the wrong way for the longest and always wondered why it never looked exactly like the person. I am still having minor problems but I see a difference when drawing them the proper way.

A Place for an Egg

This a project for my Interior Architecture class at UNC-G. The concept of this project was to create a place for an egg using only paper products. We were not allowed to use any adhesives either to hold to project together. 8/07

Contour Of library2

This is my second trial of drawing the UNCG campus library.This sketch came out a little better than the first sketch. It was a hot day once again and I was sitting on the ground with bugs crawling on me which was a big distraction once again.

This my first trial of drawing the UNCG library it isn't so great.It was such a hot day and bugs were crawling on me so it was a great distraction. And also I am not fond of contour drawings they look so flat and not easily defined.I guess more I do them they will evently appeal to me.

Blind Contour Hand

This is a blind contour image of my hand. Blind contour( letting your eyes follow the lines that make up the image without looking at the surface in which you are drawing the image onto).

Random Negative Space drawings

These are random items that I drew; drawing the shapes that made up the image without focusing on the actual images or items. The process in which I drew the items is call drawing around the negative space.
